iHP48 File Transfer

Those are the 3 main options to transfer files to an iHP48: using your Mac, your Windows or directly from within the iPhone.

Transferring files from a MacOS

The following is just an example using Finder on a MacOS computer cable connected to your iPhone. You can define your favorite way to use it, drag and drop, moving, using the menus.

Find the desired file using Finder and chose copy. I use the file “Analema” for the example.
Using Finder, with your iPhone cable connected, select your iPhone and files.
Choose iHP48 on the list, and paste the file.

Transferring files from a iTunes on a Windows Computer

This example is using iTunes from a Windows computer cable connected to your iPhone.

Find your file on Windows Explorer. I use the file “Analema” on the example.

On iTunes find your iPhone and select “File Sharing” on the left menu, and find iHP48 on the right list.
Then, just drag and drop the file and that’s all.

Transferring files with Files app.

Files is a great app to work with files on your iPhone. The following example uses OneDrive to copy the file on the iPhone.

First, configure the cloud service you want to use with your iPhone. I have iCloud and OneDrive already setup.
Find the file you want to copy, hold it and select copy.
Go back to the firt screen and select “On My iPhone” to browse the local filesystem.
When you are inside the iHP48 folder, paste the file and that’s all.

Bring the file on iHP48 stack

The final step is copy the file on the iHP48 stack, to do so you should follow the next steps.

On your iHP48 open the Menu with a click on the calc screen.
Choose the “Load Object …” Option to browse and find the desired file.
When you find the file, “ANALEMA” on the example, just click on it. You should receive a Success Haptic Feedback.
Go back to the calculator and you should find the object on the iHP48 stack.
On this case is a DIR object, so I store it on a var and open the app.
This shows the results of using the file of the example…

When the file gets already loaded on the iHP48, you may delete it from local files.
The reverse process starts with an object on the stack, and then use the “Save Object As …” menu.
You can discover the process with each of the described options.
